The aim of this site is to present the details about Gregorian Bivolaru, the Romanian Yoga teacher, a man of great character, wisdom, kindness and profundity. He is the mentor of a large spiritual movement in Romania, with main focus on the practice of yoga, tantra and meditation. For almost 35 years he has been the victim of obstinate, yet ungrounded, persecution driven by the romanian totalitarian communist forces. Here you can find the documents which will present you with the TRUTH.
Gregorian Bivolaru is living now in Sweden where he gained political asylum. He continues here his work to promote the spiritual values, knowlwdge and practices in the world today.
His yoga system was implemented in many yoga schools from more than 20 other countries, on all continents, and is followed by over 35,000 yoga students and sympathizers.

Laya yoga is the absorption of the mind in sound. The goal of this practice is to alter one's normal awareness of self by focusing on hearing an internal, mystic sound. The mind will become steady and absorbed in the sound on which it focuses. In space, sound is produced by the movement of sound waves in the air. So, too, in the body, there are currents that flow and produce sound when one practices pranayama.

AtmaYoga is a contemplative, gentle, yet dynamic approach to the powerful intimacy of yoga. Created from compassionate self awareness, inner stillness, and core strength, the practice is a path returning to the true Self. My intention as a yoga teacher is to assist each practitioner to explore themselves, their own inner path, and the unlimited potential for healing and wholeness that lives in the reunion of mind, body, heart, and soul.

Yama and Niyama are often called "the Ten Commandments of Yoga." Each one of these Five Don'ts (Yama) and Five Do's (Niyama) is a supporting, liberating Pillar of Yoga. Yama means self-restraint in the sense of self-mastery, or abstention, and consists of five elements. Niyama means observances, of which there are also five. Here is the complete list of these ten Pillars as given in Yoga Sutras 2:30,32: Ahimsa (non-violence, non-injury, harmlessness), Satya (truthfulness, honesty), Asteya (non-stealing, honesty, non-misappropriativeness), Brahmacharya (sexual continence in thought, word and deed as well as control of all the senses), Aparigraha (non-possessiveness, non-greed, non-selfishness, non-acquisitiveness), Shaucha (purity, cleanliness), Santosha (contentment, peacefulness), Tapas (austerity, practical spiritual discipline), Swadhyaya (introspective self-study, spiritual study), Ishwarapranidhana (offering of one's life to God).
All of these deal with the innate powers of the human being-or rather with the abstinence and observance that will develop and release those powers to be used toward our spiritual perfection, to our self-realization and liberation.
These ten restraints (yama) and observances (niyama) are not optional for the aspiring yogi-or for the most advanced yogi, either. Shankara states quite forcefully that "following yama and niyama is the basic qualification to practice yoga."
Fundamental Yoga-Practice handed down from Maharshi Kartikeya and Swami Dhirendra Brahmachari to their disciple Reinhard Gammenthaler.
The exercises can prevent and cure diseases, but they are even more valuable in imparting positive health in the form of increased energy and well-being, which no system of medicine can do.
It is now being recognised that the mind and the body interact and influence each other. Yoga maintains that farreaching effects can be produced by the effect of the mind. This affects not only the physical health of the body but may even overflow into states which are beyond the average, normal experience. This does not mean that these are miraculous or abnormal on any score. But it does mean that the true limits of “normal” are hardly realised by most people. The greater part of humanity has for generations adopted a basic level of existence and has unknowingly accepted a maimed, crippled existence as normal.
Yoga affords an opportunity for a bold departure from this limitation. However, it must be realised that dealing as they do with matters of far-reaching and vital importance, the yogic practices require the outmost precision and the care due to them.
It is, therefore, essential that a capable teacher or Guru introduces the students to the exciting mysteries of Yoga to obtain maximum benefit.

The term "Laya Yoga" is usually used in two different ways: firstly to refer to a very particular method of practice or even a single exercise (sadhana), which melts mental conditionings, or causes of suffering. The second meaning refers to a many-sided and ordered initiation system designed to lead the practitioner to liberation (via the methods of absorption and dissolution). Laya Yoga can be practiced either as a tantric system or vedic system – "Tantrika Laya Yoga" or "Vaidika Laya Yoga".
Philosophically the spiritual aim of the Laya Yoga school is described in the treatise "Yogabija" (142) as identity, uniformity (aikya), kshtera (fields of mind and ego) with kshterajna (authority of field, cognitive consciousness). After realizing this identity the mind melts itself, and when the Laya state appears, vital force (pavana) becomes stable. Because of the state of absorption (Laya) a man can achieve the state of ananda- unlimited bliss resulting from a transcendental state of consciousness and mind.
